About the Equipment
This galvanized plug dislodger, or “plug popper”, is custom designed to accommodate all sizes of plug trays. Its heavy duty and durable build assures positive alignment and a clean press every time. The unit for sale has a manual foot treadle and exchangeable inserts. Additionally, this is a portable floor model, fully equipped with 4-inch caster wheels. Note that the pins are made of plated steel and the depth of pin penetration is also adjustable.
How We Used the Equipment
Thanks to the customizable inserts (installed with thumb screws), we were able to easily dislodge a whole variety of different sized plug trays without ever causing any damage. 10” by 20” trays worked great.
Site Prep
For best results, the buyer is going to need plug trays with good mechanically-made drainage holes. Also, even though there are wheels, rolling this machine into place might be a 2-person job.
